(1) Children referred to in clauses (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f) and (g) of sub-section (1) of section 48 shall be considered as children in need of alternative care.
(2) The Child Welfare Officer shall arrange for alternative care for the children under sub-section (1) on the basis of the following priorities:-
(a)   Relatives on the mother's or father's side of the child,
(b)   a family or person willing to care for the child,
(c)   Organization for family-based care of children,
(d) Kindergarten.
(3) Other arrangements regarding alternative care shall be as prescribed.
